Dr. Pannu volunteers in AACD’s Give Back A Smile™ Program for Domestic Violence Survivors

Domestic violence fosters feelings of…sadness, self consciousness, worthlessness, and embarrassment. These feelings are the reason volunteer dentists and their patients are banding together to be the voice of this silent epidemic.

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation’s (AACDCF) primary program, Give Back A Smile (GBAS), provides cosmetic dental care to survivors of domestic violence through a nationwide network of dental professionals. With the support of Discus Dental and Ultradent Products, Inc., the AACDCF has established a program to help raise funds for the Foundation by having volunteers provide whitening treatments to their patients in exchange for donations to this worthy cause. The Pannu Dental Clinics is a GBAS Whitening Program provider in the Bay Area and is participating in the GBAS Whitening Program Challenge that runs from March 1 – March 30, 2010.

“The GBAS Whitening Program Challenge benefits everyone. Not only will patients in our area have whiter and brighter smiles, but whitening treatments performed at my office will generate increased resources to allow the AACDCF to help more domestic violence survivors,” says Dr. Pannu.

Domestic violence affects one in four women. This silent epidemic is cross-cultural, income defiant, and gender blind. It can happen to your mother, sister, brother, daughter, cousin, and/or neighbor. Domestic violence occurs right here in the Bay Area. Join Pannu Dental Clinic in fighting back.
